Suzy Tate joined Jennis & Bowen in 2007 following a career in the telecommunications industry and a more recent employment with a Tampa area law firm. Ms. Tate uses her keen analytical ability to assist Jennis & Bowen’s clients with a wide variety of tasks, including plan formulation and confirmation, bankruptcy motion practice and corporate litigation. Ms. Tate is a member of the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, is a member of the Florida Bar, J. Clifford Cheatwood Inn of Court, and other professional organizations. Suzy contributes regularly to The Cramdown, the newsletter of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. Ms. Tate received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1991, and her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law along with her MBA from Stetson University in 2005. While at Stetson, Ms. Tate served as an intern for the Honorable Judge Alexander Paskay, Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida, and participated in various activities, including the Stetson Law Review, Business Law Society, Florida Association for Women Lawyers and other professional organizations.
